Melanie Kehr has been a member of the Executive Board of KfW Bankengruppe since 2019. As CIO and COO, she is responsible for information technology, operations and transaction management. Digitalisation, innovation and the use of key technologies are among her main areas of focus at KfW. She has been a member of the main board of Bitkom e. V. since 2024. While studying business administration at the University of Bielefeld, graduating in 1999, she earned a Master of Science in Economics from Purdue University, USA, in 1998. Her professional career began in 1999 at Accenture, where she most recently worked as a partner in the Capital Markets Industry division. In 2014, she moved to BayernLB as Group CIO and joined KfW Bankengruppe as Chief Representative in 2018.
