In 2017, the German Bundestag passed a law that allows cannabis as medicine, causing lively discussions between the brothers Jakob (lawyer) and Benedikt (strategy consultant) and their father (doctor) at a family party. The same evening the rough concept for Cansativa was ready.

CargoSteps convinced the Frankfurt Forward jury in March and received the titel Startup of the Month. The startup helps forwarders and carriers to better utilize their vehicle capacities and enables cross-company shipment tracking. In an interview with Chief Operating Officer & Co-Founder Murat Karakaya, we wanted to learn more about the foundation, the team and its most important lessons learned.
